Applications are invited from the Indian citizens for 4 no. posts of Asstt. Professor in the Department of Law in the specialization noted below :
A) Constitutional & Administrative Law-2 posts.
B) Criminal Law (Pure Crime)-1 post.
C) Human Rights (Pure Human Rights)-1 post.
Qualification and experience : As per latest UGC norms (for details, please see GU website : www.gauhati.ac.in).
Pay Band and Academic Grade Pay :
Asstt. Professor : PB-4 =Rs. 15,600-39,100 & AGP : Rs. 6,000/-
Application form : Prescribed application form, the details of qualifications & other are available in the University Website-www.gauhati.ac.in. The candidates may download the application form from the above website.
Reservation : Reservation of SC/ST as per G.U. rules.
Application Fees & Last date : Candidates will be required to pay an amount of Rs. 1000/- (in case of SC/ST Rs. 500/-) by Demand Draft in favour of “Registrar,
Gauhati University” payable at SBI, G.U. Branch as an application fees for the post.
Completed applications in the prescribed form along with necessary enclosures must reach “The Registrar, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14” latest by 10.06.2013
Those who are willing to apply for more than one post, they must submit separate application form with separate application fees. The name of the post and Department must be written on the envelope of the application. Persons in employment should apply through proper channel or furnish No Objection Certificate from their employer.
In all cases, two copies of application form with all testimonial need to be submitted.
Mere fulfillment of qualification will not entitle an applicant for inviting to the interview.
