2015 AUSTRALIA INDIA YOUTH DIALOGUE
Applications for the Australia India Youth Dialogue (AIYD) 2015 are now open. The AIYD is a youth-driven bilateral conference held over 4 days. The fourth AIYD will be hosted in Australia from 26 – 29 January 2015, in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia.
A total of 15 delegates from Australia and 15 delegates from India will be selected to take part in AIYD 2015. If you would like to apply for AIYD 2015, please click here for the full online application form.
Applications will close on 11:59pm IST, 30 September 2014.
Eligibility
To be eligible to be a delegate for AIYD 2015, applicants must be between the ages of 18-40 (as of 30 September 2014) and must be an Australian or an Indian citizen.
Participants of AIYD 2015 will be selected from diverse professional and social backgrounds to ensure that AIYD 2015 embraces a wide range of perspectives. In the long-term, this diversity will build a greater understanding of issues facing both countries as it will facilitate the development of novel ideas arising out of ‘thinking outside the box’ discussion and will contribute to long term cooperation between the different sectors from each country.
There is an increasing presence of young leaders and young professionals in various sectors of both countries taking an active role in promoting the interest of their respective nations. These young leaders are globally savvy and enthusiastic about interacting openly with other nations around the world. Young professionals in Australia and India are the key stakeholders in each nation’s future prosperity and growth. The AIYD will encourage these leaders to take part in high level discussions to contribute to future solutions and understanding between both nations.
