Appeals for Early Resolution of Manipur University Crisis
Date :: 21st June , 2018
Federation of Government College Teachers’ Associations, Manipur (FEGOCTA), the apex body of government college teachers in Manipur is really concerned at the ongoing crisis at Manipur University.
FEGOCTA has already requested Union Human Resource Development Minister to intervene for preventing possible loss of academic years of the students.
Declaration of results of B.A., B.Sc and B.Com examinations and conduct of M.A., M.Sc. and M.Com examinations will be delayed if the disturbance continues.
Already examinations of M.A./MSc have been postponed. Colleges in Manipur are affiliated to Manipur University.
It is a central university responsible for the academic activities of the colleges also.
The failure and silence by the concerned authorities is unfortunate.
FEGOCTA appeals Union HRD Minister, Manipur’s Governor, Chief Minister, Education Minister and other stakeholders to resolve the crisis at the earliest.
This will be in the interest of students of the University, affiliated Colleges and state of Manipur.
Dr. N. Somorendro Singh
General Secretary,
Federation of Government College Teachers’ Associations, Manipur
