'Alternative arrangement' misunderstood: Dr. Shürhozelie
Nagaland Post | Kohima, Nov 26
NPF president Dr. Shürhozelie Sunday said some sections of the Nagas have misunderstood the words -- “alternative arrangement” as part of the solution to the Naga political issue. Talking to NEPS, the NPF president made it very clear “alternative arrangement” meant the new “arrangement” to be arrived at which would include all the Naga political groups.
The NPF president also disclosed that it was not known what kind of solution would be arrived at and hinted that New Delhi could reach separate arrangements for Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam. He asserted that the alternative arrangement, NPF was talking about was inclusive of all the Naga “underground groups.” Dr. Shürhozelie reiterated NPF’s “declared policy” that in the event of “any political settlement” to the Naga political issue, the party would not stand on its the way.
