At Assam Don Bosco University, lectures, tutorials and practical are augmented by periodic seminars, symposia, field work, rural camps, guest lectures and workshops which provide a more comprehensive view of the subject than mere lecture methodology. Interface with industry and interaction with practicing professionals are organized to keep the students abreast of current developments giving them the ’knowledge-plus-experience’ edge.
Evaluation of students is done continuously through class tests, quizzes, assignments, seminars, projects, mid-semester examination and an end-semester examination. This evaluation procedure, designed to test the analytical and problem solving skills and creative thinking of students, focuses upon their performance throughout the year.
For M.Tech and MCA, the projects guides are available from selected Industry and Expert from Foreign universities/organizations. Student transfer facilities to such organization are available for duration of projects. We provide FREE access to several International Journal groups-Elsevier, Springer, science direct, IEEE etc. Our PG students have good records publications. Scholarship Schemes:
10 Free scholarships are given to the rank holders and to those securing over 90% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in the Class XII Science examinations of the seven states of North East India, on a first-come first-served basis. They are not required to pay the tuition fees. Another 20 applicants with 80% or more in PCM are eligible for a 50% reduction in tuition fees on a first-come first-served basis. The students benefitting from these scholarships can avail the same benefit in the subsequent years provided that they obtain 80% or above in every semester examination.
