A Song in the Lover's Ear
- Deep from the Soul -
K. Radhakumar *
'What are you doing?'
'Oh, this, that and the other!'
A song
From the depth of my soul!
A song of life – that's the whole point.
I am no longer scared, no longer scared
Of going towards the Hades
For if I am to rewrite
The tale of my life,
I will write it in the same way
It has been written before.
When I have woken from sleep
The sun is already above the horizon.
All alone
I find myself
Standing on a field
Stretched out as far as I could see;
Loneliness sinks in
And I feel bad.
Nobody is there
Nothing is there.
Yet, I'd love to meet somebody
I'd like to see something.
In the vast emptiness
I feel a presence behind me.
Life is not a joke
A joke life is not
Even when god is killed
In an absurd car accident,
Even when human relationship is
Questioned
And questioned seriously
With terrorism in many parts of the world
Hanging like the sword of Damocles.
Life goes on and on
The womb of earth is impregnated with angels
And the dead is awakened.
