5 Manipuri Film Personalities Who Have "Authentic Legacy Blue Tick" On Instagram And Facebook

With the introduction of Meta Verified, a monthly subscription-based Instagram and Facebook verification service in June 2023, anybody and everyone may now purchase a blue tick with a legitimate ID, similar to Twitter Blue. A blue tick mark on Facebook and Instagram no longer indicates that a user is a public figure or celebrity.

The best part is that Mark Zuckerberg mentioned that any accounts that were previously verified will retain their verified status on both Instagram and Facebook without any charge.

Since 08 June 2023, several Manipuri people have also started purchasing the blue tick to increase their visibility on Instagram and Facebook, even though they are not notable. It should be noted that any Instagram and Facebook accounts that were verified and will verify after June 8, 2023, are now through Meta Verified and are not genuine.

Before the introduction of Meta Verified, five well-known Manipuri film figures were automatically verified by Instagram and Facebook. And because their accounts were validated by Meta itself in light of their notability, these five personalities are exempt from paying anything for the rest of their lives.

Following is the list of "the only five film personalities from Manipur with authentic legacy blue tick" social media accounts :

1. Lin Laishram: Lin Laishram is an Indian model, actress, and businesswoman from Manipur. She appeared in several Hindi movies including Om Shanti Om, Rangoon, Umrika, Axone, and Mary Kom. She has both her Instagram and Facebook accounts automatically verified by Meta.

2. Priyakanta Laishram: Priyakanta Laishram is an Indian film actor, film director, producer, screenwriter, film editor, and TV host, known for his socially relevant and unconventional movies. He is the first filmmaker to make the first mainstream Manipuri film dealing with same-sex relationships. Some of his notable movies are It's Not My Choice, I Am Special, The Foul Truth, Spaced Out - Panthung Di Kadaaida!, Who Said Boys Can't Wear Makeup and Oneness. He has both his Instagram and Facebook accounts automatically verified by Meta.

3. Soma Laishram: Soma Laishram is an Indian actress and singer who appears in Manipuri films. She is a native of Imphal, Manipur. Loibataare Ta Raju, Enakta Leiringei, and Pizza are some of her notable movies. She has both her Instagram and Facebook automatically verified by Meta.

4. Romi Meitei: Romi Meitei is an Indian film director and lyricist who works in Manipuri films. Thoiba Thoibi, Manithoiba, NatephamdaTero, and Eikhoigi Yum are some of the well-known movies he directed. He has his Instagram account automatically verified by Meta.

5. Bijou Thaangjam: Bijou Thaangjam is an Indian actor, lyricist, art director, chef, and entrepreneur. He is of Meitei descent originally from Manipur. He was one of the contestants in the reality cooking competition Masterchef India 2. He is known for his role in the film Mary Kom and Shivaay. He has his Instagram account automatically verified by Meta.

And Manipuri Influencers who recently paid and bought "Blue Tick" through Meta Monthly Subscription are Aarkay Sushant (R.K Sushant), Shyamapika Konjengbam, Jenny Khurai (Khaidem Jenny), Sandra Nandeibam, Jenita Sharmi/Haobijam (Jony Haobijam) and Sadam Hanjabam amongst others.
