54 NPF ticket aspirants for 10 seats in Manipur

Naga People’s Front (NPF), which is making its maiden entry into Manipur after the party decided to expand its wings, has claimed to have received massive response so far.
Members of NPF committee for election into Manipur State Legislative Assembly said the party has so far received at least 54 applications from different constituencies seeking party ticket so far. Among the applicants include two from Kuki community and one from Meitei from Imphal valley while the rest were Nagas of Manipur. The number of applicants was expected to go up with the last date of seeking party ticket extended from December 20 to December 29 next.
NPF president, Shürhozelie later fixed December 30, 11 a.m. as the date for all aspiring NPF candidates to attend a function at Senapati and sign a pledge that they would extend their support to the selected/nominated party candidate in their respective constituencies. Shürhozelie later confirmed to have directed the committee to immediately finalize the lists of prospective candidates.
