2 shot death along Indo-Myanmar border

Two persons were shot dead by suspected UNLF and two of their companions - all from Kongkan village under Chassad police station of Ukhrul district, still remain untraceable on Friday. Locals said the incident occurred at about 4 p.m. Friday after four of them went on a hunting trip for New Year feast to a nearby jungle. The two were found shot dead along the village road, about 9 kms from Kamjong.
The deceased were identified as K. Kumar (56) son of (L) K Horhai and K. Ramshang (38), son of K. Ramyo. However, Ruikanmi Chithung (39), son of (L) Yuingam Chithung and Chingringam Lk (32), son of David Lk, were still reported to be missing.
