10 years of TPC: Success collectively shared
- The People's Chronicle Editorial :: September 06, 2022 -
The People's Chronicle has completed ten years of public service but we, here, admit that there is still vast room for improvement and more importantly need unwavering support from our esteemed subscribers as well as readers of our paper.
Facing unprecedented situations had been a part and parcel of newspaper business and as such we don't anticipate that the coming years would no more be a roller coaster ride.
Unlike in the past, incidents of unlawful elements targeting newspaper offices have gone down significantly and there has been semblance of favourable working condition.
However, the sharp rise in number of social media users and propagation of uncorroborated sensitive news items remain one of the challenges that conventional newspapers have to encounter for we believe that it our bounden duty to dilute attempts by rumour mongers to spread hatred and create divisions in this multi-ethnic society.
The last two years in particular had been one of the toughest periods we faced due to the dual impact of the coronavirus pandemic, which not only disrupted normal chores of the citizens but also impeded mass distribution of newspaper.
Nevertheless, be it the Covid-19 situation or any other obstacles that came our way, The People's Chronicle always strives to ensure delivery of our service to the satisfaction of maximum number of readers and the same spirit of living up to the expectation of our avid readers will continue to fuel us.
We also believe that our daily will continue to have the same degree of support and patronage from all concerned.
As usual, we would like to take the opportunity to sincerely convey our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have been championing our cause and helping us to keep going.
In-spite of our humble efforts for the 10 past years of service we are convinced that the public still want us to improvise and foray into uncharted territories to make a difference in the society and it is exactly the reason why we are working towards dissemination of authentic and thought-provoking news items for everyone.
To be frank, our commitment to delivering quality work to our readers is what brings us back to the office every single day and keeps us excited about the future of The People's Chronicle.
As we complete a decade of existence and service, we recognise the massive efforts that have been put in to make the paper a success, by all those who've worked for the organisation over the years.
It is a moment of pride, be it for the management, the field staff who ensure that every happening hits the news stand the next morning, the editorial team who goes through every detail to minimise errors that could create misunderstanding, marketing and circulation teams, and not to forget our invaluable columnists and contributors of articles, who don't fret to share their views on issues besetting the society and have firm vision and resolve for a progressive Manipur.
There's much more The People's Chronicle can achieve and whatever we do, it will be a success collectively shared by many.
