Imphal, March 21 2009: Troops of 29 Assam Rifles killed a suspected underground activist at Yangoupokpi Lokjao 40 km north of the Tengnoupal police station of Chandel district yesterday at around 4.30 pm, a delay report said today.

Police said, a 9 mm pistol along with two magazines loaded with four live rounds and a dairy in the name of one private Boy, Army no.2252, 241 battalion UNLF were recovered from the slain suspect. The dead body has been brought up to Imphal and deposited at RIMS morgue for official identification, the report added.
