Imphal, March 11, 2010: One Pundongbam Kunjo, husband of Imphal East Zilla Parishad chairperson Pungdombam Bimola sustained bulklet injuries on his left side stomtack when unidentified armed persons opened fire at their Achanbigei Mayai Leikai residence under Heingang Police Station at around 8.25 pm today.

The attackers also reportedly hit Bimola on her head by the gun-butt.

The injured couple have been admitted to RIMS Hospital.
