Imphal, January 04 2008: THE IDENTITIES of the two dead bodies, killed in two separate encounters with security forces on January 2 and 3 at different places, lying at RIMS morgue since then have been established today.

The person killed by the Bishnupur district police commandos at Leijaron, Chothe Maring Khul under Bisnhupur PS was identified as Maibam Sanjoy (27) son of late M Ibomcha from Kangbai Mayai Leikai.

According to the family, he left home about two years before.

After that he came home on the New Year Day and had meal with some of his local friends.

The body will be taken by family after postmortem tomorrow.

The other person, killed in an encounter with a combined force of Thoubal district Police Commandos and 21 Para Regiment at Yairipok Yambem Iroilok, Thoubal district under Yairipok PS, was also identified as Sagolshem Ibohanbi (25) son of Sh Khoibi from Uchiwa.

His body has been handed over to his family after postmortem at RIMS morgue today.

In the meantime, the dead body of Yengkhom Surjit alias Thembung (28) son of Y Iboton from Chanam Sandrok Mayai Leikai, killed in an encounter with a combined force of Imphal East district Police Commandos, 32 Assam Rifles and 115 BSF, was taken by family after postmortem at RIMS morgue today.
