Imphal, February 09 2009: A 42-year old woman has been admitted to Shija Hospital here this afternoon for treatment after being hit by a stray bullet.

After getting down from the Gypsy in which she was travelling, Ningyaola Vashum w/o Robin Vashum of Kharasom in Ukhrul but staying at Thangal Avenue, Imphal was stretching herself out along the Imphal-Ukhrul Toad near New Heaven when the stray bullet hit her.

The stray bullet that her on the upper chest pierced through her right armpit.

New Heaven is located around 2.5 kms to the north-east of Litan Police Station.

Ningyaola was brought for treatment at Shija Hospital at around 2.35 pm today.
