Imphal, May 13 2009: Gun-battle reportedly took place between suspected armed UGs and personnel of 11 Assam Rifles at Khonglang, located around 11 kms to the west of Leimatak under Tamenglong District.

According to information received by the press, the gun battle broke out late last night and continued till early morning today.

The extent of casualties on both side could not be confirmed.
