Imphal, February 04 2010: Two blasts occurred at two different places in Imphal Thursday.

The first blast occurred in the morning at Lamphel and the other in the evening at Kakwa Lamdaibung, Imphal.

A hand grenade had been hurled by some miscreants in between the Institute of Cooperative Management and Registrar office in Lamphel.

According to sources, the miscreants might have attempted to attack the Registrar office as there had been threats from an underground outfit to the office.

A case has been registered by the Lamphel police.

The second blast was taken place at the verandah of one L Tejmani (54) who reportedly runs a workshop for heavy vehicles.

Mangkhogin Haokip, additional superintendent of police visited the blast site.

There are no reports of injuries or casualty in both the blasts.
