Imphal, March 24 2010: The armed United Kuki Liberation Army (Military Council) has claimed responsibility for the attack carried out at the residence of Director of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry on March 22 morning.

Contending that the attack was carried out due to alleged arrogance and disrespectful conduct of the Director to the organisation, UKLA's information and Publicity secretary Jameson Kuki claimed that failure to oblige its earlier intimation at the earliest would compel the outfit to expose the Director's as well as his sub-ordinate staff's unholy nexus with other UG groups.

Moreover, James-bond proclaimed ban on plying of public carriers operating under Blue Hills Network Travels, MPG Winger and Tata Sumos along the Imphal-Dimapur route till all outstanding differences had been resolved.
