Lamka, March 08 2009: A highly decomposed body with the skull decimated from the body was discovered early today after some stray dogs ploughed a deserted spot near Pangzawl village, about 4 kms south of the police station.

With only nylon ropes and red jacket visible most parts of the body except for the abdominal area were already rotting.

The skull and leg bones had been exposed with the skin seemingly falling off.

Though the village chief had formally lodged about the presence of the decomposed body in his village, the local police opted to wait for the district administration's order to completely evacuate the body.

A police team however visited the spot to ascertain the presence of the body, but left it after covering the exposed parts.
