Tamenglong, February 27, 2010: Chief Electoral Officer Manipur has informed that a door to to door survey for detection of errors in the current photo electoral rolls and making correction therein would be carried out from March 2 to 20.A Booth Level Officer (BLO) appointed by the concerned Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) would visit every household to record errors in electors' particulars such as age, sex, relationship, photo etc in the electoral roll and report back to the concerned ERO for necessary corrections.

The BLA may be accompanied by some Booth Level Agents (BLA) appointed by recognised political parties, a press release said.

The CEO also appealed the JAC for AMTUC-AMGEO to extend co-operation to all the officials appointed as BLOs.
