Imphal, March 10, 2010: Expressing concern over the shooting incident of March 6 in which Advocate General NK Koteshwar was injured by a bullet of a Minister, All Manipur Anti-Drug Association (AMADA) has said that the 'accused' Minister might commit the 'mistake' under the influence of liquor.

Maintaining that the people of the State are currently reeling under identity crisis, AMADA asserted that it would be a loss for the whole State if people, including VIPs, waste time in inebriating themselves at such a critical juncture.

Referring to the March 6 incident, AMADA said that it cannot not be resolved by saying that 'it was a mistake'.

The State Government must take up steps understanding the pulse of the masses, said AMADA in a press release.
