Imphal, December 04 2009: Unidentified armed persons set off a hand grenade at the residence of a businessman in Yairipok Tulihal Konjil Leikai of Thoubal district.

According to police report, the explosion took place at around 10 pm yesterday at the residence of Md Chaoba (45) s/o Md Ali, who owns a hardware store at Yairipok Shantidan Keithel.

There is no report of any human casualty in the explosion, though tin roof of verandah of the house and the front door and windows bore the mark of bomb splinters.
