Imphal, December 23 2009: Assam Rifles searched several buildings of Manipur University including its administrative block last morning suspecting presence of bomb(s).

Troops of 28 AR posted at Langthabal hil-top within MU campus conducted search in several buildings using sniffer dogs.

Earlier, explosive experts of Manipur Police conducted a similar search operation in MU in the morning of December 21 .

The search operations were based on an intelligence input that some unidentified persons were planning to plant bomb inside MU campus.
