Imphal, February 23, 2010: Sit-in protests were staged at separate places today to register strong denounces against miscreants attacks at the houses of individuals in the recent time.

One of the protests was staged by the employees of the Manipur Industrial Development Corporation Limited (MANIDCO) strongly condemnation to the repeated attacks with guns at the house of the executive engineer Keisham Inaubi of Thambalkhong on February 14,18 and 19 last.

The protest was staged at the eastern gate of MANIDCO and they appealed not to perform such acts to the house which caused panic and fear to the engineer and his family.

The other sit-in protest was staged at Kangabam Leikai by the residents of the area registering strong decry with firing of guns at the house of one Oinam Jiban of the locality in the morning of February 22 last.

The protest was organised by the Kangabam Leikai Apunba Nupi Marup in association with Naharol Welfare Club and Kangabam Leikai Development Committee.
