Imphal, July 20 2009: Unidentified armed persons triggered a hand grenade near the Yaiskul Sougaijam Leikai residential gate of Laishram Madhumangol (69) who is a former Senior Field Assistant of SSB at around 7.15 pm today.

There is no report of any human casualty in the attack.

A couple of days earlier, police have retrieved another hand grenade which was found laying near the outhouse of the residence.

Son of late Chandramani who was an MLA, Madhumangol said that he had not received any monetary demand or threat from any UG group.
