Imphal, January 20 2009: The identity of the UG suspect shot dead by a combined team of Thoubal police commandos and troops of 34 AR in between Heiyel Loubuk and Nepra Company on January 17 has been established.

He was one Elangbam Arun (25) s/o Chaothoi of Chairen Mayai Leikai but staying at Singjamei Thongam Leikai in rented rooms.

He was a rickshaw puller.

He left home with his rickshaw in the afternoon of January 17.The rickshaw is still missing.

He left behind his wife and a one year old daughter.

The corpse has been handed over to family members after post mortem at Lilong PHC today.
