Imphal, October 19 2009: A 13-year old girl has been hospitalised after being hit by a bullet which was fired piercing through the tin-roof of the house at Uripok Achom Leikai at around 10 pm yesterday.

The victim has been identified as Yurembam Princy d/o Duttasen of Uripok Achom Leikai.

At around 10 am yesterday, Princy and her mother were lying on the bed when a bullet which was fired piercing through the tin-roof of the house hit her on her left thigh.

She was immediately rushed to RIMS Hospital and an operation was conducted to remove the bullet.

Today morning, Princy was referred to Shija Hospital at Langol.

She is a student of class VI in Little Flower School, Imphal.
