Imphal, November 11 2008: Two unidentified undergrounds were eliminated in a search operation held on the adjoining night of November 10 and 11 by 57 Mountain Division at Mamang Shabal, Thoubal.

The search operation was conducted by 73 Mtn Bde of Red Shield Div and 7 Assam Rifles.

A PIB source said one 9mm Czech pistol and one 7.62mm M-20 pistol with some live ammunition and fired cases were recovered from the slained UGs.

Two persons, Th Dhiren Chandra (21) resident Wangu sangdukhong, Bishanpur and O Inaomacha (34) resident of Mamangshabal, Thoubal were apprehended as the UGs were sheltering at Inaomacha's house.

The dead bodies of the slain UGs were handed over to Kumbi Police Station.
