Imphal, March 23 2009: The Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF), Assam, Manipur and Nagaland strongly condemned and also said to take seriously the two brutal incidents of February 1 occurred at Boreunew Village and March 9 occurred at Tungje Village by the Dimasa Militants known as Dima Halam Daogan (DHD) of Jewel faction in the north Cachar Hills District of Assam in a press statement issued by its General Secretary Romeo Palmei.

ZYF also said that the ugly incidents had killed Haideuranbe, a civilian, Nampuidungbe and Poudeiheung.

The incident also injured Pouhungkambe and Kaiteung.

The ZYF statement also urged the Dimasa militant not to repeat such incident in the Zeliangrong areas in future and also warned that the ZYF along with the general public will have to take up stern measures if such incident repeat again.

ZYF appealed to the concerned district authority and the Assam State Government to look into thematter seriously and give ex-gratia to the bereaved family members.
