Imphal, January 06 2010: Some unidentified armed persons gunned down one non local this evening at Singjamei.

The deceased has been identified as Symon Aria (27) from West Bengal.

He was reportedly running a tea stall christened as Purnima Hotel near Mata Cinema Hall at Singjamei.

According to the eye witnesses, two armed persons shot him dead infront of his hotel.

Police recovered two empty cases of 9mm pistol near the dead body.

The deceased sustained injuries on his head, according to police.

Today's case is the very first killing of non locals in the year 2010 .

In the month of December last, a total of 3 non locals were being killed.

A total of 28 non locals were being killed in the year 2009 .
