Imphal, November 01 2008: A suspected KCP (MC) activist has been gunned down by a combined team of Imphal West district police commandos and troops of 16 Assam rifles in a late evening encounter at Khonglong village under Patsoi police station along National Highway No 53.The incident reportedly took place at around 5.20 pm with the security team informed to have recovered a 9 mm pistol along with two live rounds.

The yet to be identified body is being kept at RIMS morgue for necessary procedures.
