Three more Sanapat 'encounter' victims identified

Imphal, November 04 2009: Identities of three more bodies of the seven youths killed by the Assam Rifles at Andro Sanapat on October 31 last have been established even as two are yet to establish.

While identifying them today, respective families also denounced their link with underground elements and killing them in encounter.

Mention may be made that two of the slain youths earlier identified had become cousins abducted by miscreants from their respective homes at Ishikhapat in Imphal east district.

Families identified the slain youths as Laishram Boycha (18) son of late Kumar of Seijang Awang Leikai, Salam Ratankumar @ Nanao (17), son of S Thambalgou of Salungpham presently resided at Tendongyang and Chingangbam Gogo (17), son of late Tombi of Loitang Khunou.

Deceased Boycha, according to the family had went out from home on October 22 saying to work as labourer in the construction of a bridge at Heirok in Thoubal district.

When he left home, he wore a yellow colour T-shirt, a white colour trouser and black and white strip shoe but his dead body was found wearing a camouflage trouser not fitted on him.

Ratankumar left home after he had quarrel with his father some 10 day back while Gogo was a pung yeiba, according to the families who accepted the dead bodies today after post mortem at Lilong mortuary.
