Imphal, May 27 2009: The body of one of the two persons who was killed in an alleged encounter with 34 Assam Rifles at the hillside of Thoubal Khunou under Thoubal Police Station on the evening of May 24 last has been identified by the family members and has been received from the RIMS mortuary for his final ritual today.

The body was identified by the family member as Sapam Geetchandra (22) a resident of Nongpok Sekmai.
