Mahasweta takes part in relay-hunger strike

Imphal, November 04 2009: Magsaysay Award winner and Doyen of Indian literature, Mahosweta Devi and her entourage in the state took part in the relay hunger strike staged at the gate of Ladies Hostel of JNIMS, Porompat today.

The relay hunger strike organized by the Sharmila Kanba Lup has entered 330 today.

In the protest today around 100 women of Kha Nongpok Apunba Lup Nupi Lup, Moreh took part.
