Imphal, October 30 2008: THE BODY of a person who was killed in an encounter by a combined force of 34 Assam Riffle and Imphal west police commandos on October 21 last at Chirai Lamkhai under Wangoi Police Station has been disposed off today after the police handed over to the Imphal municipal autohrity.

Meanwhile, the dead body of the suspected Kuki militants who was killed in an encounter by the 29 Assam Rifle at an adjoining place between Laiki and Sita of Chandel District yesterday morning still remained unidentified at RIMS Morgue.
