Imphal, November 03 2009: Centre for Organisation Research and Education (CORE) expressed deep concern over the killing of a non local, Md.Kalam Shiek (35), son of (L) Md.Loskori Sheikh of Samserbad presently residing at Ragailong (Pandon) by unidentified gunmen at Takyel SAI Complex Road.

Stating that around 20 non-locals have been killed since the beginning of this year, a statement issued by the programme coordinator of CORE, Namdithiu Pamei observed that the act of targetting non-locals should be discontinued.

It further appealed every section of the society to respect human rights while urging the government to ensure security of all citizens.
