Imphal, March 22 2009: A bomb lobbed by suspected UGs exploded at the residence of the Congress MLA I Hemochandra last night, a police report said today.

But no casualties were reported in the blast.

Police said that the grenade was exploded around 10.30 pm at MLA's residence.

But Hemochandra, former Urban Development minister of Manipur, was not present in the house as he and his family stayed at the official residence at Babupara here, the report added.
