Imphal, June 20 2009: Protest against the detention of students under NSA in connection with the killing of Prof Islamuddin of MU, and the agitation for their release has continued in the state. Apart from organising sit in protests against the detention of students under NSA at various places in Bishnupur district today, protestors have also burned the effigy of the authority.

Sit in protests were held today at Keinou Thongkha, Yumnam Khunou, and Oinam Bazar Water Supply Scheme complex.

Placards like, 'DESAM are not Criminals,' 'We condemn detention of students under NSA,' 'Release the students immediately,' 'Don't turn students as terrorists,' etc were displayed during the protest.
