Imphal, April 19 2009: The relay hunger strike organized by Sharmila Kanba Lup (SKL) in support to the eight years old hunger strike taken up by Irom Sharmila against the imposition of the brutal law of the Armed Forces Special Power Act 1958 continues to observe at its 131st day today.

Mention could be made that the hunger strike started since December 10 of 2008 last with volunteers of various clubs, organizations and associations of the state taking part in it.

Around 100 volunteers of All Manipur NGOs Forum took part in today's hunger strike.

Around 100 Meira Paibi volunteers of Ukhongsang Mamang Leikai, Thoubal District also took part at the hunger strike today.
