Three bodies identified; Families claim innocent

Imphal, November 08, 2008: IDENTITIES OF three men who were killed by the security forces including the two killed near the Sekmai Bottling Plant yesterday were established today.

Families also claimed them to be innocents.

The two killed at Sekmai Bottling Plant by a combined force of Imphal west police commandos and troops of 39 Assam Rifles have been identified as Salam Ajit (31) son of S Yaima of Thanga and Yumnam Binoy (40) son of Y Tamu of Lamjao Mayai Leikai.

The duos were relatives and innocent earning livelihood by working day to day available works, according to the family sources.

Family members also said that they went out from home with a cash amount of Rs 2 lakhs for buying a DI tata.

They also accompanied gold ornaments like chain and ring worth around Rs 50,000 and mobile phones.

The money and other items are still missing, they said.

The dead bodies are still lying at RIMS morgue as families refused to received.

One of the two men killed by the Imphal east commandos at Thambal Khong Sabal Leikai on last Thursday has also been identified today as Lousambam Sanatomba (27) son of Kullachandra of Kangla Sangomsang.

Family members said that he was living by working as �brick misty� and helping the family.

The dead body has been received by the family after post mortem at RIMS morgue this afternoon.
