Imphal, February 14, 2010: One 53 year old man has been shot dead by unidentified gun men at Sikhong under Thoubal district this morning.

Md Salam of Sikhong Khunou Khongtabi was found shot dead at about 7 am at Sikhong Ward No 1 Patpan near his home, said a police source.

He was a grade-IV employee at Public Health Engineering Dept.

He was hit a by a bullet on the left eye.

A piece of paper written with the words, �KYKL-MDF, CID� was also found near the corpse.

It is reported that one son of Md Salam surrendered to BSF as a PULF cadre sometime back.
