Imphal, March 09 2009: Troops of 29 Assam Rifles gunned down a suspected UNLF cadre last night at around 9.10 pm at a place between Wilram and Bongli located 45 km on the south of Tengnoupla police station of Chandel district.

Troops recovered one lathod gun with two lathod shells, three grenades from the slain suspect, official source said.

The three hand grenades have been disposed off at the spot, the report added.
