Chandel, September 29, 2009: Unidentified miscreants exploded a bomb at the residence of the CEO of Chandel Autonomous District Council here late this evening around 7.30.This is said to be the second incident wherein the CEO comes under attack from suspected militants.

No one was, however, hurt in the blast.

Eyewitnesses said, two persons had fled the scene of the incident after the blast in an NV Scooter.

Family source said, the blast could have been the handiwork of suspected militant group operating in the hill area.

The CEO was said to be served a monetary demand by a particular underground group since sometimes back.

In the first attack, suspected militants had lobbed a grenade at the residential compound of the CEO, but failed to explode.
