Imphal, August 28 2009: Family members of Kumarjit � killed in a reported encounter on August 24 near Toubul in Bishnupur district � have claimed the body today.

The family refused to claim the body due to deep suspicion that he might have been killed in a fake encounter.

The secretary of the JAC against the killing of Kumarjit, L Bijeta said the body has been claimed as it is necessary to perform the rites.

Bijeta said the agitation to demand justice will be continued.

The JAC has submitted a memorandum to the CM through his private secretary today.

The JAC demands institution of judicial inquiry into the killing and to punish the guilty security personnel.
