Imphal, December 24 2009: Suspected undergrounds fired three rounds of guns at the house of an individual at Imphal this evening even as a bomb was found placed at an oil filling station at Khabeisoi this morning.

Miscreants coming on a Maruti Car 800 fired at least three rounds of gun at the gate of one Soubam Nirmal of Sega road under Imphal police station this evening at about 6.30 pm, a local report said.

No injury reported in the gun firing.

Miscreants also deposited a hand grenade at Friendly Enterprises Oil Pump, Khabeisoi under Heingang police station of Imphal east district.

The hand grenade was discovered this morning at about 6.30 am.

A team of Imphal east police defused and taken into their custody later, report said.

Decrying the placing of bomb at the oil pump, residents of Khabeisoi today staged a sit-in protest near the oil pump.
