Imphal, May 31 2009: One underground suspect was killed today around 7pm in a reported encounter with combined security force at a place near Laimanai Chingjin under Kakching police station in Thoubal district, according to a report.

One AK-56 rifle, along with some live rounds and empty cases were recovered from the possession of the slain underground suspect.

The dead body has been retrieved by the Kakching police and the same will be brought to RIMS morgue for identification and most mortem tomorrow, the report said.
