Imphal, June 29 2009: Around 35 members of Langdum Mayai Leikai and Lainingthou Sorarel Thangjing Ayang Leima Panthoibi Nongpok Ningthou Thougal Lup Tarung Haijen Pham Cheiraochingkhong Meira Paibi took part in the relay hunger strike staging under the aegis of the Sharmila Kanba Lup (SAKAL) at Porompat PDA complex.

The relay hunger strike has entered 202 day today stated a press handout of SAKAL signed by its Convener, K Taruni.

Meanwhile, the relay hunger strike of Thoubal District which is also organized by SAKAL has also completed 143 days today.

Around 100 members of Langathel Mamang Leikai Mantra Khongnangkhong Meira Paibi carried out the hunger strike today, the statement added.
