Imphal, February 24, 2010: A man sustained bullet injury when some unknown gunmen suspected to be underground activists fired at the house of one Shijagurumayum Mani, a leader of the Anganwadi workers and helpers at Yorbung under Lamlai police station in Imphal east tonight, at about 7.15 pm.

The injured man has been identified as Shanglakpam Bipin Sharma (34) of Chanam Sandrok Mayai Leikai, presently residing at the house of Sh Mani at Yorbung along with his wife.

A bullet hit at the chest of Bipin exited on the back side.

He has been admitted at Shija Hospital under serious condition, reports said.
