Imphal, July 22 2009: Many writers of the state today joined the relay hunger strike as part of Save Sharmila Campaign at PDA complex, Porompat.

A recitation of poems with the theme 'For Sharmila' was held, a press release issued by the convenor of Khunai Kanba Numit Thousil Lup, Rakesh Naorem conveyed.

Speakers of the day included Advocate Angomcha, KALAM president K Sanahongba Mangang, Nahakal president Th Silleima Leima and SAKAL convenor AK Janaki.
