Imphal, June 17 2009: Womenfolk of the Singjamei Liwa Lambi today staged a sit-in protest decrying the bomb threat to the house of the executive engineer of Loktak Development Authority, Asem Kumarjit yesterday evening.

Expressing dissatisfied with the act of threatening people with bomb, Mangi, a leader of the womenfolk of the area said the placing of the bomb has caused panic and fear among the residents of the area.

Despite having enmity with a person, it will be wrong to attack with bomb at thickly populated areas.

It is not a right act.

If a child holds the bomb unknowingly and happened to explode it, many lives will be claimed.

This will led to build up a bad relationship between the underground elements and general people, she observed.

She also appealed to stop depositing bombs and firing of guns at the residential areas as it is not the wish of the people.

This should be known by all concerns, she added.
