Imphal, October 07 2009: IRB personnel guarding the house of Director of Health Services, Dr W Motilal, fired some rounds in the air when some suspected underground activists hurled and exploded a hand grenade at the gate of the house located at Nongmeibung in Imphal East district around 5 pm today.

No casualty was reported in the incident.

The director was out of station when the incident happened.

After the grenade blast, the IRB personnel guarding the Director's house fired a few rounds.

A police team from Imphal east district rushed to the spot and enquired about the situation.
